| Sant dominates with a clean sweep at I-76 |

July 24th - What turned in to a plesant summer evening Butch prepared another excelent surface to race on at I-76 Speedway. Jay Sant dominated the evening sweeping the heat race and Main event. Heat 1 - 1. #24 Jay Sant, 2. #69 Paul Babich, 3. #56 Troy Simpson, 4. #42 Todd Weland and 5. #70 Troy Pierce. Heat 2 - 1. #29 Dwight Hoelscher, 2. #5 Brandon Steele, 3. #18 Jeff Gieg and 4. #55 Sammy Gallo. Main Event - It was clear from early on Sant was not going to be beat on this night. After starting 5th on the grid it took only 1 lap for Sant to get the lead. The race was red flagged twice, once for a minor flip by #69 Paul Babich and the other from a tip over by #29 Dwight Hoelscher. Babich was able to work his way back to a 2nd place finsih and Hoelscher was able to fight back to a 5th place finish. Brandon Steele back in his #5 machine had serious overheating problems but was able to come home 3rd. With a solid run in his Interstate Batteries #18 Jeff Gieg came home 4th. With his usual solid run driving his brother's #42 Todd Weland came home 6th. Troy Pierce in his beautiful black #70 gaining more experience every lap came home in 7th. Troy Simpson in his #56 Nordy's BBQ Mini Sprint had mechanical issues and was unable to finish. Sammy Gallo was out early in his #55 Mini Sprint also with mechanical problems. The final results were.
