Welcome to the RMMSA
Welcome to the Rocky Mountain Mini Sprint Racing Association home page. The RMMSA is a wingless mini sprint association that races in the rocky mountain region at race tracks such as: I-76 Speedway in Fort Morgan Colorado, i25 Speedway near Pueblo Colorado, Colorado National Speedway in Erie Colorado and Big Country Speedway in Cheyenne Wyoming. The RMMSA was founded in 1987 which made 2007 our 20th anniversary season. Big plans are in the works for our upcoming season as the RMMSA continues to grow as one of the rocky mountain regions premier mini sprint associations.
| How we will set the line up at I-76 Speedway |

| Setting the heat race line up is one of the rule changes after last season. In 2007 the points leaders were always in the “Fast” heat with everyone else in the second heat. RMMSA runs two heat races and the main event. When we didn’t qualify we would set the grid based on point totals. The top half would fill one heat the balance in the second heat. The driver who just missed the cut would be starting in the back of second heat. We had a full invert. The winner of the second heat would start behind everyone in the first heat. This just didn’t seam right. So how do you give everyone a fighting chance? In 2008 we are going to use the pill draw to set the heat races when we don’t qualify. This is an equal shot for all. The leaders could be on the pole, in the middle or in the back where they belong. The main event will have heat one on the inside row and heat two on the outside. We expect this to add excitement and real racing on the track. Even the drivers are looking forward to the opportunity to improve their standings.Good luck and good racing. |
